Our Thursday sessions are a new venture for Mel and Lucy’s Little forest school, exploring running the groups together and at such an exciting site as Hornhurst woodland at Rotherfield.
The Thursday sessions will be running throughout term time and for children between the ages 4yrs – 10yrs. We can be flexible if you have older or younger children. The activities will run from 10.00am – 12pm, so plenty of time to create a campfire and cook something delicious, either from the woodland or from our own explorer bags.
We are privileged to be some of the first woodland explorers at the Hornhurst site which is allowing us to create our very own unique space. We would like to create a nurturing, creative and encouraging space for children and adults to develop in every possible way. The woodland has a lot to offer us and we will endeavour to keep our eyes open to make the most of its knowledge. Activities will be led by the participants, the weather and the seasons. Therefore come equipped dressed for every occasion, we are hardy explorers. We will not be following a prescribed agenda of expectations.
We can guarantee that friends will be made, fun will be had and life-long knowledge will be acquired. My aim is to create a space for us all to grow within the exciting network of nature at Hornhurst.
Currently at the site there has been a magical seating circle created but we are without any toilets.
Parents to accompany child to all the session. get in touch if you want to discuss Home ed session this is an new adventure for us! siblings under the age always welcome and free!
