Introducing Our New Hares Home Education Nurture Group (Winter Term 2025)
At Knowlands Wood, Barcombe

Every Tuesday morning during term time | 10:30am – 12:00pm | Winter Term dates November 4th – December 16th 2025
We’re excited to launch a brand-new Home Education group in response to growing demand from families looking for a smaller, calmer learning environment.
This group is specially designed for children aged 5–11, with sessions tailored particularly toward ages 7–11. With strictly limited places, it’s a wonderful option for neurodivergent learners or any child who thrives in a quieter, more focused setting.
Learning in tune with the seasons
Each session follows a theme, with hands-on outdoor activities that build confidence and practical skills. Children will enjoy progression-based challenges such as knife skills, fire lighting, and other nature-inspired learning.
Child-led focus
Every child’s individual interests can be nurtured and built into the session, allowing them to dive deeper into what excites them most. Whether it’s practical bushcraft, nature study, or creative projects, our leader Kat adapts to support their unique passions.
Individual support in a small group
The reduced group size means Kat can provide differentiated learning, ensuring children are supported at their own level.
Building community and connection
Alongside individual growth, the group works as a supportive community, helping children develop social skills and friendships at their own pace. For children who find socialising challenging, this gentle environment offers encouragement and a sense of belonging.
