Join us for our brand new Acorns Forest School sessions, held weekly at the beautiful wild botanical garden, Wakehurst in Ardingly, near Haywards Heath. We’ve been running Forest School sessions for years and we are delighted to offer a brand new nurturing, fun and creative space for young children and their grown-ups to learn, explore and grow together.

Led by our wonderful Forest School leader, Heidi-Jo, the Thursday playgroup is open to all children aged 0–5. These family sessions are perfect for little ones to experience their first adventures outdoors—learning through play, discovery and connection with the natural world.

What to expect:

• Seasonal exploration and wildlife discovery

• Games, crafts and confidence-building activities

• A welcoming community of families

• A rich blend of nature play, creativity, and meaningful first experiences that nurture the whole child.

Whether you’re splashing in puddles, building dens, or toasting snacks over the fire, there’s always something magical happening with us at Wakehurst.

While we highly recommend becoming a member of Wakehurst, this is not essential to attend our group.

Entrance fee and parking fee for Wakehurst is included in the price of our tickets.
