Hapa Zome

Come and try the Japanese art of bashing leaves with a hammer!  We will go on a walk around the woods collecting interesting leaves and perhaps trying to identify them.  Then we will arrange our leaves between two pieces of cotton before bashing them with a hammer.  The leaves release their dye creating a beautiful piece of art for you to take home.  If we have time we will finish by making a refreshing summer tea using some of the leaves we have collected.  Anyone who can use a hammer can take part, although please note this will be noisy at times!
