Winter treats
26/11/2020
10:30 am - 12:30 pm
Winter can be a difficult time for birds. The days are short, and nights are often cold and long. The natural food supply has been consumed or is hidden by snow. Most insects are dead or dormant. Water can be hard to find, and food needed to provide the energy to keep birds warm might be scarce. Finding shelter may not be easy. If there are limited natural evergreens or shelter, birds may seek man-made houses or habitats that can provide refuge from the winds, rains, ice or snow of winter.
This workshop will be held in the woods, light a fire and cook up some treats. Hot chocolate and a Crumpet cooked over the fire.
Make bird food and feeders as a gift to birds for you to take home.
Please bring a snacks/picnic lunch
Age: Under 5’s+ accompanying adult free. Tickets are for children only. 1 adult only to keep in line with goverment guidlines. Please arrive and be ready to go 10 mins before the workshop starts, the group can be anywhere in the woods and it may be hard to find them.
